My first association on listening to the first track was "Camel", but with some more fusion infusion, and this impression persists basically throughout the album. This means ultra-catchy melodies, smooth lead guitar lines, and prominent keyboard parts. There are two tracks with vocals - not counting "Side By Side", which has vocals on the intro only. They sound slightly different from the instrumental ones, but no less excellent. Favorite track: Knots of Mahogany.

Stunning ... The opener has very much a 70s sound, somewhere between jazz-rock fusion and progressive rock. But the band show their exuberence and expertise by carving their own path. Such a shame there's no more. Peter Jones
